During his 35-year military career, Lt. Gen. Masire held various operational, staff and command appointments, one of them being the chief  VIP pilot. 

 

He has the distinction of being the only BDF pilot to have flown all four of the country’s presidents, and is an International Honour Roll Inductee of the US Air University. Lt. Gen. Masire also holds a BSc degree from Troy State University in the USA, and an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.

He is the founder and chairman of the THC Foundation, an NGO that provides support and advocacy for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
